Brian McDevitt is a junior journalism major with a minor in general business studies at Temple University. He is also a Philadelphia Eagles analyst online on Pro Football Spot, and is part of the production staff at Owl Sports Update, Temple’s sports television program. Brian will also have an opportunity to work with Engel Entertainment in the summer of 2017 as a post-production intern. Born and raised in Central Jersey, Brian has grown up as a die-hard fan of the Philadelphia Eagles and the New York Yankees, citing sports as one of his biggest passions. He is also a music junkie, frequently looking for new alternative, punk, and emo acts, and considers the beach to be a second home for him. Although he is a Jersey Boy at heart, Brian has become passionate about Philadelphia, and hopes to land a job not too far from the city shortly after college.
Morgan O’Donnell is a junior at Temple University studying journalism with a minor in political science. She currently writes for her blog Old Wanderlust and previously wrote for Odyssey, an online news and entertainment website from a millennial perspective. Morgan is the Public Relations Vice President of the Iota Chi chapter of Alpha Xi Delta, an editorial board member of Hyphen Literary & Art Magazine, and a member of Temple Tappers. She also works as a database researcher for Temple’s Institute of Public Affairs and the Pennsylvania Policy Database Project. In the future Morgan hopes to work in the magazine and digital media industries.
Ana Padilla is a senior journalism major at Temple University. She has a passion photography and hopes to enter the photojournalism field in the future. While in Dublin, Ireland last semester she interned for the Irish Daily Star newspaper. She is a member of Temple’s photojournalism club, Aperture Agency, and and has held multiple positions in Alpha Xi Delta Women’s Fraternity. After graduating this May, Ana will begin an internship at Humble Genius Media as a writer and photographer. She hopes to stay in Philadelphia to embrace all of the opportunities that it has to offer.
Breanna Perez was born and raised in Philadelphia. She attends Temple University and continues her education as a Journalism major. Throughout high school and college, Breanna has participated in many writing opportunities. She was the Sports Editor for her high school newspaper, The Ryan Review, and continued to write for an online publication when entering college, HerCampus. Furthermore, during her Fall 2016 semester Breanna had the opportunity to intern at Metro, the free local newspaper where she interviewed, wrote and edited stories for the Things to Do section. Although her future is still uncertain, Breanna hopes to utilize the skills she’s learned at Temple to help carry her to her dream job. Currently, Breanna is focused on becoming a more well-rounded and a diversely talented journalist through internships, clips and more volunteer opportunities.
